Often life can feel very overwhelming, like you are trying to spin multiple plates, but you don’t have enough hands.
My approach to therapy is to create an environment built on trust, nonjudgmental acceptance, and the understanding that we all have moments in our lives where there are too many plates.
Throughout your sessions I provide a supportive, confidential and judgment free space so you can share anything you’re struggling with. You can share painful or sensitive moments as well as personal thoughts and stories. We will work together to focusing on where these challenges show up in your day-to-day life and how to work through them.
Therapy can be for “big events”, but I also view therapy as a check-in for the mind.
Therapy is something we all need and can benefit from:
Together we can navigate these areas.
I focus on a psychodynamic lens, meaning as our sessions progress, we look for connections between past and present and the patterns this creates in our lives. Narrative therapy also plays a role in our sessions, together we’ll work to create authorship and agency over your life. I also use mindfulness techniques to help build awareness and connection.
The most important thing to know about therapy with me is that this is your time, and I am here to support you. Creating a relationship and building trust in our sessions is the most important part of therapy, and it is through this that you will see the biggest change.
I practice under the supervision of Jess Erb (CRPO #008555) to help ensure our work provides you with the best support possible throughout your unique journey.
